This week the Brady siblings and some of HGTV’s biggest stars got together to film the big reveal of the Brady Bunch house.
Back in November 2018, HGTV announced plans to restore the Brady Bunch House to its peak 1970’s glory. Since then, there have been A Very Brady Renovation updates here and there, including a couple of digital mini-series and a nationwide scavenger hunt to locate furniture and decor pieces fit for the Brady House. Today, we have a very big update for you: HGTV is thrilled to share that the renovation is officially complete!
This past week the Brady siblings as well as some of HGTV’s biggest stars returned to the Brady House to film the big reveal. We love a good before and after moment more than anyone — and you guys, it’s unbelievable what they did in there! And while you’ll have to wait until later this year to see the finished product on TV, we’re happy to share a few incredible photos with you from the reveal. Iconic, right???
Exclusive Photos from the Reveal!
Our sources on the ground tell us that reveal day was truly one for the books. But first things first, let’s do a quick roll call of who was there: of course, TV siblings Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) were present. And representing for HGTV were Jonathan and Drew Scott (Property Brothers), Mina Starsiak and Karen E Laine (Good Bones), siblings Leanne and Steve Ford (Restored by the Fords), Jasmine Roth (Hidden Potential) and Lara Spencer (Flea Market Flip). Plus, two very special babies were in the house. Mina had her baby boy Jack with her, and Leanne brought bab
To paint a picture for you, the Brady siblings first participated in a ribbon cutting surrounded by family, friends and neighbors. Present in the crowd were several Brady VIPs including Llyod Schwartz and Hope Juber — the son and daughter of Brady Bunch creator Sherwood Schwartz. Three of Florence Henderson’s (Carol Brady) children were there, too. Together, they all walked through the Brady House for the first time. As you can imagine, it was an emotional experience for everyone — especially because of how spot on everything in the house looks. Even Maureen kept saying, “I feel like I’m on Stage 5 at the Paramount lot.”
Another sweet detail from set is that during the reveal of Greg’s groovy attic space, Barry picked up a guitar and serenaded Maureen, Jasmine, Mina, Leanne and Lara with the Brady classic, “Sunshine Day.” Overall, it was a really special day and everyone was pretty much blown away by the renovation.
That’s not all though! Richard Rawlings from Discovery’s Fast N Loud surprised the Brady cast with a remodeled 1969 Plymouth station wagon. To top it all off, the USC marching band made an appearance and take one guess which song they performed! That’s all we can share for now! We hope you’ll join us later this year for when A Very Brady Renovation premieres. We promise that this reveal is going to be worth the wait.
