The term "Hamptons" refers to the south fork of Long Island's north shore - specifically, Southhampton and East Hampton, along with the little hamlets and villages that comprise each town, such as Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton. At the opposite end of the island is beautiful Montauk, offering coastal fishing and wildlife observation on miles of pristine white sand.
